"Yes", Windows 10 DOES run well on this HP computer. Originally came with Win 7 Pro, and the serial/activation number is embedded, so it will automatically activate (already activated)
I doubt very much that you could run Windows 11 on it.

Desktop HP/Compaq Win 10 Pro 8gb/160 HDD/4gb total video.
HP Compaq Elite 8000----$60
BIOS updated to 2015 (latest).
Windows 10 Pro (embedded serial number)
Power cord included with computer.
For standard office work, older games (the power supply is too weak for a really good graphics card). NO problems surfing the ‘net, or watching videos on youtube or from the DVD. Extremely quiet.
You can put in a better video card, but the power supply is only 240 watts, so keep that in mind.
Ran Office 2013 flawlessly. Don't know if it can run anything post-2022. Probably.
Socket 775, Core 2 Duo 3.16ghz
8gb RAM, capable of 16gb.
160gb Seagate hard drive
Lightscribe DVD/RW Multi/Dual Layer
On board speaker
1gb ATI Radeon HD 7000 series Graphics card
4gb total with onboard memory shared (does it automatically)
240 watt HP power supply (can actually handle around 270-290 under stress)
I doubt very much that you could run Windows 11 on it.
